What is Carlton Communications?
Carlton Communications - winner of both the top national
and state public relations awards - was founded by Dick Carlton in
1975 as a small agency based on the principles of Management-by-Objectives.
During the ensuing 30 years, we have worked with a variety of clients
in planning and implementing special events, providing lobbying support,
conducting public relations campaigns, creating advertising programs
and counseling on just about every aspect of communications.
These clients have ranged from non-profit foundations, museums, hotels
and tourist attractions to retirement communities, real estate developers,
telecommunications companies and insurance groups.
These have included:
- Governor Mark Warner's Inaugural 2002
- Lloyds of London
- The Mayo Clinic Foundation
- The John Marshall Foundation
- Henrico Doctors' Hospital
- Westminster-Canterbury Retirement Communities
- The Jefferson Hotel
- The Omni Richmond
- The Richmond Marriott
- Maymont Foundation
- Historic Richmond Foundation
- LandAmerica / Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation
- Continental Lawyers Title Company
- St. Paul's Episcopal Church
- Prince William County Tourism and Economic Development
- City of Richmond Tourism
- The Museum of the Confederacy
- Numerous Commonwealth of Virginia agencies and departments
- Real Estate Developers
- American Insurance Association
- Various banks and other financial institutions
Working with such a diverse group of clients has provided a strong
background in formulating strategies to meet the objectives of
the organizations and to reach scores of different target audiences.
This experience-as well as the contacts developed in the process-would
be extremely beneficial to any organization planning any type
of communications program.
